Terms
Terms of Service
Version 2026-10 · Last updated 27 September 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use lw.coach, the Luke Coaching app (on the web at app.lw.coach, and on iPhone and Android) or our coaching services. They are the agreement between you and Luke Coaching, a coaching practice run by Luke in the United Kingdom (“we” or “us”). Please read them with our Privacy Policy.
By creating an account or starting coaching, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. Who can use the service
- You must be 18 or over.
- Client accounts are set up by invitation when you start coaching with us.
- Each account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details private, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Please give accurate information, especially in your health screening, and keep it up to date.
3. The coaching service
- What your package includes (for example your programme, nutrition guidance, check-ins, feedback, messaging and calls) is agreed with you in writing before you start.
- We will provide coaching with reasonable care and skill, and reply to your check-ins and messages within the times agreed for your package.
- Coaching is a partnership. Results depend on many things, including your consistency, health and circumstances, so we can’t guarantee any particular result.
4. Health and safety: please read
- Coaching is not medical care. We are not doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians or mental health professionals, and nothing in the service is a diagnosis or treatment.
- Check with your GP or another qualified professional before you start, and whenever your health changes. This matters most if you answered yes to any health screening question, are pregnant or have given birth recently, have a long-term condition, take prescribed medication, or have had disordered eating.
- Tell Luke straight away about any injury, illness, new medication, pregnancy or anything else that could affect your training or nutrition.
- Stop exercising and get medical help if you feel chest pain, severe breathlessness, dizziness or faintness, or unusual pain. In an emergency, call 999. The app and messages are not monitored for emergencies.
- Train within your ability, warm up, use equipment safely and choose a safe place to train.
- Nutrition guidance is general guidance, not a medical diet. If you have a medical condition, allergy or eating disorder, follow your doctor’s or dietitian’s advice first.
5. Bookings and payments
- Coaching starts once we have agreed the scope and price in writing and your first invoice has been paid.
- Invoices are payable within seven days of issue unless we agree otherwise.
- The app shows your package and whether it is paid, but it does not take payments or store card details.
- If a payment is overdue, we may pause coaching until it is paid, after telling you.
6. Your right to cancel
- If you agreed to coaching online, by phone or away from our premises, you can change your mind and cancel within 14 days of the day we agreed, without giving a reason.
- If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, we will refund what you paid, minus a fair amount for the coaching already provided.
- To cancel, tell us clearly by message in the app or through our contact page. We will refund you within 14 days of your cancellation, using the method you paid with.
7. Rescheduling, pausing and ending coaching
- Sessions can be rescheduled at no cost with at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged in full.
- Either of us can pause or end coaching with two weeks’ notice.
- We may suspend or end coaching straight away if you seriously break these terms (for example, abusive behaviour or misuse of the app), or if continuing would not be safe for you. If we end coaching for a reason that isn’t your fault, we will refund any fees you paid for coaching not yet provided.
- When coaching ends, you can still sign in, view and export your records for 90 days. After that, your record is archived and deleted as our Privacy Policy explains. You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account).
8. Using the app
- We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own coaching while you have an account.
- Please don’t misuse the app: don’t try to access anyone else’s information, interfere with or reverse-engineer the app, or upload anything unlawful, offensive or that you don’t have the right to share. Progress photos must be of you.
- Keep your devices secure. App lock can help.
- We work to keep the app available and your information safe, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. The app works offline and syncs when you are back online.
- We may update the app or its features, and may ask you to install an update to keep using it.
9. Content and intellectual property
- Your content: what you add (logs, answers, messages and photos) stays yours. You allow us to store and use it only to provide the service, as our Privacy Policy explains.
- Our content: programmes, workouts, plans, guides and other materials we share remain our intellectual property. They are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be shared or redistributed without our written permission.
10. Our responsibility to you
- If we don’t provide the service with reasonable care and skill, tell us and we will try to put it right. You may also have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses: the service is for your personal use.
- Our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
11. Apple and Google app stores
If you downloaded the app from the App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and Luke Coaching, not Apple or Google, and they are not responsible for the app or its support. For the iPhone app, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law or our service changes. The current version and its date are shown on this page. If a change significantly affects you, the app will ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
13. Complaints and the law
- If something isn’t right, please tell us first, in the app or through our contact page. We aim to reply within five working days.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
14. Contact
Clients can message Luke in the app. Anyone can reach us through the form on our contact page.
