Client journeys

Twelve weeks, told as they happened.

Four journeys, in their own shape. Names and details have been changed to protect client privacy — the work itself is real.

Portrait representing Maya, 34

Maya, 34

Creative director · returning after burnout

Maya arrived quietly exhausted. The career she'd built was working, and she wasn't. We started with sleep and stillness before we touched a single barbell.

  1. Joined

    Permission to slow down

First three weeks focused entirely on sleep, light, and removing one obligation per week. No training prescribed. The relief alone was the result.

  2. Week 2

    A morning that holds

A 20-minute morning practice — water, light, ten minutes of breathing, ten of writing. Repeated daily. The day stopped starting in panic.

  3. Week 6

    Movement as medicine

Three short, joyful training sessions a week. Walking returned. Energy returned. The first 'I think I can do this again' arrived unprompted.

  4. Week 12

    Steady on her feet

Back at full work capacity with boundaries that hold. Strength markers up across the board, but more importantly: a face that looks rested.

  5. Now

    Living it on her own

On a light-touch monthly cadence. Hasn't missed a morning practice in seven months. Says she finally trusts herself again.

Portrait representing James, 41

James, 41

Founder · second company, first child

James was running a company and a household and a body that was quietly falling apart. He didn't need motivation. He needed structure that bent with his week.

  1. Joined

    Audit before action

Two weeks of pure observation — when energy was high, when it crashed, where the day fell apart. Patterns became visible without judgement.

  2. Week 3

    Two anchors, no negotiation

Two non-negotiable training slots a week. Everything else flexible. The two slots held even on the worst weeks.

  3. Week 8

    Food without thinking

Built three meals he could repeat indefinitely without decision fatigue. Lost the daily 3pm crash entirely.

  4. Week 12

    Strong again, for real

Back-squatting his bodyweight cleanly for the first time in five years. More importantly: present at dinner. Phone elsewhere.

  5. Now

A life he can run for years

Quarterly reviews, monthly check-ins. Says the company runs better because he does.

Portrait representing Priya, 29

Priya, 29

Architect · rebuilding after injury

Priya came in after a year of cautious rehab that had left her quietly afraid of her own body. The work was equal parts physical and psychological.

  1. Joined

    Map the fear honestly

We named what specifically she'd stopped trusting — and what she actually still could do. The list of 'still can' was longer than she expected.

  2. Week 4

    Small, safe, repeated

A loading protocol that started almost embarrassingly light. Twice a week, no missed sessions, no heroics. Tissue tolerance grew quietly.

  3. Week 9

    First real load

The first session that genuinely felt hard. Tears at the end — not from pain, from the return of a feeling she'd missed.

  4. Week 12

    Running again

First continuous 20-minute run since the injury. Slow, careful, complete. The corner had been turned.

  5. Now

    Stronger than before

Training four times a week independently. Half-marathon on the calendar. The injury is a chapter, not a sentence.

Portrait representing Tom, 52

Tom, 52

Educator · second chapter of life

Tom's children had left home and he had — in his own words — 'a quiet decade to spend well.' The work was about building a body and a life worthy of it.

  1. Joined

What does the next decade look like?

Before any training, a long conversation about the actual life he wanted to be able to live at 62. The plan worked backward from there.

  2. Week 4

    Strength as foundation

Three-day strength template — simple, repeatable, age-appropriate. Sleep and protein non-negotiable. The first 'I feel different' arrived early.

  3. Week 10

    Curiosity returns

Started swimming again after twenty years. Took up a Tuesday-night class. Said the body had stopped feeling like a thing to manage.

  4. Week 12

    Visible change

Down 6kg, up across every strength marker, and — his own words — 'standing taller without trying.' The shift was as much in posture as in figures.

  5. Now

Lit up for the long run

Two coaching calls a month and a packed weekend calendar. Walking 5k for fun. Planning a long trek next spring.
